Best Review Kenwood DPX503 Dual-DIN USB/AAC/WMA/MP3 CD Receiver with External Media Control
I love this head unit but there are two things that I have changed:
Text-lighting … while at night in order, and some cloudy / rainy days, there are times it is literally a-readable during the day, and I also have 20% shade. Inverted works mostly ok for me in blue, but red is impossible, unless the night to see. All the others are right about this, but I do not regret buying this device independent.
Remote control with backlight … Do not get me wrong, I'mhappy that this unit came with a remote control at first but since I drive a lot at night, it is difficult to see buttons on the remote and it would be nice if you light up like a receiver remotes I have at home. How much light the actions that will be on the device itself, you might think, would be the remote control for playing here and at least illuminating. Kenwood note!
What I like about this device:
Intro custom text .. I like that I said in my name or anything elseI want to do when you start the stereo. I must say my sentence, my car brand and model name.
Auto color change, while listening to music. I thought to be color changes synchronized like the music, but to shine as the night is like a rave in the car, and this is not the kind of distraction while driving desires. The liquid slowly changing the color itself is perfectly fine, however, and is much more adaptable than I would probably have difficulty with, but at least the options arethere.
Total:
The CD itself is good. There are not as stable as some of these laser DVD players cracked in a magical way to read the CD as their Minty Fresh, but does not seem to have much of a problem reading scratched discs medium. Probably not with the CD mech is much the same anyway, since the front loading USB is so easy, just the mp3 on your flash drive. I do not think I would use it as I am, but it is probably the number one, I heard the musichours.
The sound is pretty good, but without my subwoofer setup, you can almost say that every low pumping. I do not know if this device is to blame, as my speakers are old, but when you crank the sound they make is very fresh and bright, with a few missing is real low. (This has been fixed since I bought a pattern of low melting). I suspect, Kenwood expects to have the final consumer or to take care of itself make a low factor subwoofer installation. I checked to see if LOUDwas, and was … but it seems made little difference, if any.
Menu / Controls / etc. There are a lot, and it takes time to get used to and has its learning curve so to speak. I do not think it takes a few menus to get the bass / treble / middle, why not really have a reason to change it that often … Furthermore, it seems a lot of options, customized to change the sound, only some would take time to adjust and fiddle perfectly if you want to doSun Setting the date and time it was a pain, but since you only work once if the battery is removed or dies, is not really a big problem.
I have this unit for almost five months and had to use every day. There are times when you reach the point "I'll just pull over so I can see what song I can on this 100 + CD-MP3 I'm so not to destroy, because I do not see the text can be explored at all." Moments. .. But then you smile, other times when you can actually see theText or night when the lights are all live.
If I decide to buy another unit today was, I doubt I would. Kenwood and I'm glad this is a long time for me, a really nice double-din, as with all the features it offers (est. Bluetooth and XM), both available, I'm going to later and later during the ' year.
